I watched this is stunned amazement, right up until he started talking about how he can't read or write, and his teachers saying he would amount to "nothing." Then, I started bawling. I make a conscious effort to remember that EVERYTHING I do with my kids has an impact. Everything! I just hope that by some strange twist of fate, one of his former teachers sees this on the internet, and realizes how powerful a teacher's words/actions can be. They impact children for their lifetimes. I'm so happy that he has been able to turn those negative messages into something positive for himself. He is amazing!
